Cookie Policy

Last updated 2 November 2026

Filumi uses strictly necessary cookies to work, and analytics and advertising cookies only if you agree. This policy explains what we use and how to change your choice. It is part of our Terms and Conditions and should be read with our Privacy Policy. Filumi is operated by S.C. Digital Garden Global Network S.R.L., Timișoara, Tristan Tzara 17, ap. 3, Romania, fiscal code RO42823924.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your computer, phone or tablet. Similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels, tags and software development kits (SDKs) in apps, work in the same way. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.

  • First-party cookies are set by filumi.ro. Third-party cookies are set by other companies whose services we use.
  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period or until you delete them.

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your settings and saved progress, keep the Service secure, take payments, understand how Filumi is used, and, with your consent, measure and personalise our advertising.

2.1 Detailed list of cookies

The main cookies we use, or may use, are listed below. Some appear only if we use that provider or if you open a particular feature.

Cookie names, providers and durations can change. The cookie settings panel on filumi.ro always shows the current list.

2.2 Local storage and app technologies

In the browser we may also use local storage or session storage, for example to keep unsaved edits or interface choices. In our mobile apps, where available, we may use SDKs and device identifiers for the same purposes and categories as cookies, including, with your consent, the advertising identifier of your device (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android). The same consent rules apply.

2.3 Pixels in emails

Marketing emails may contain small images (pixels) that tell us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked, so that we can measure our communication. We use them only where you agreed to receive marketing emails and, where required, to this tracking. You can block them by turning off automatic image loading in your email app.

Links to our social media profiles are simple links and do not set cookies until you click them. If a page contains embedded content from another service, such as a video or a social media post, that service may set its own cookies. Where those cookies are not strictly necessary, we load the content only after you consent or click to load it.

3. Your choices

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all optional cookies, or choose by category. Optional cookies are set only after you agree. Rejecting them does not stop you from using Filumi.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of Filumi, such as logging in or payments, may stop working.

You can also limit personalised ads through the ad settings of Meta, TikTok and Google, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

3.1 Managing cookies in your browser and device

Menu names can change between versions; check your browser's help pages if they differ.

Browser or deviceWhere to find the settings
Google ChromeSettings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies, or Delete browsing data
Safari (Mac)Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data, or Prevent cross-site tracking
Safari (iPhone, iPad)Settings › Apps › Safari › Advanced › Website Data
Mozilla FirefoxSettings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
Microsoft EdgeSettings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage and delete cookies
iPhone and iPad appsSettings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, to allow or refuse app tracking
Android appsSettings › Privacy › Ads, to reset or delete the advertising ID

Deleting cookies also deletes your cookie choices on filumi.ro, so the banner will appear again on your next visit.

3.2 Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a refusal of advertising cookies for that browser, where the law requires this. There is no common standard for responding to Do Not Track signals, so we rely on your cookie settings instead.

We use strictly necessary cookies on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure service, as allowed by Romanian Law no. 506/2004 and the ePrivacy rules. All other cookies are used only with your consent, under GDPR art. 6(1)(a). Your consent choice is stored for up to 12 months, after which we ask again.

Data collected through cookies is kept for no longer than the durations shown above or in the cookie settings panel, unless the law requires otherwise.

To show that we respect your choices, we record the consent you gave or refused, the date and time, the version of the banner and an anonymous consent identifier. We keep this record for as long as your choice is valid and for up to 3 years after, to be able to prove consent to an authority if asked.

4.2 Children

Filumi is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly use analytics or advertising cookies to profile children.

5. Transfers outside the EU

Some analytics and advertising providers may process cookie data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. These transfers are protected as described in section 6 of our Privacy Policy.

6. Changes

We may update this policy when we add or remove tools or when the law changes. The current version is always available on filumi.ro with its effective date. If we start using a new category of optional cookies, we will ask for your consent again.

7. Contact

For questions about cookies or your data, write to gdpr@filumi.ro. You can find more general information about cookies at www.allaboutcookies.org.
